Mafia Boss Dog Saves Officer Buried Alive… What He Did Next Will Break Your Heart True Miracle

Chapter 6

The betrayal came faster than even Vincent planned.

Carr was walking out of the safe house at 3:17 AM — keys in one hand, Rocco’s leash in the other (Leo had started letting the dog stay with him overnight) — when the van screeched up. No plates. Side door already open. Three men in ski masks.

He had time for one shout before the needle went into his neck.

He woke on his knees in the back of the van, wrists zip-tied, mouth taped, tasting copper. Vincent sat across from him, perfectly calm, polishing his nails with a pocket knife.

“Change of plans, Johnny.” He smiled. “Or should I say, Officer Carr?”

Carr lunged. The drug still swam in his blood. A fist to the temple dropped him hard. Boots followed. Ribs cracked.

The world narrowed to pain and the wet sound of his own breathing.

Vincent crouched, patted his cheek like an old friend. “You were good. Almost had me fooled. But Leo’s getting soft — and soft men don’t survive.”

He straightened. “So tonight, you disappear. Leo gets blamed for killing a cop. The city tears itself apart looking for a body that never turns up.”

He turned to leave.

“Oh, and Carr?” He paused at the van door. “The dog? He’ll watch Leo burn for this. And then I’ll put him down myself.”

The doors slammed. The van lurched forward.

Carr screamed into the tape. No sound came out.

They drove for an hour, maybe two. Carr drifted in and out. When the van stopped, cold air rushed in — St. Agnes Cemetery. Old section. Fog thick enough to choke on.

They dragged him across the frost-crusted grass to a hole already dug. Shallow. Wide. Lined with plastic tarp.

A black casket sat nearby — lid open, empty, just a stage prop.

Carr tried to scream through the tape. A final kick to the head sent him tumbling into the hole. He landed hard, shoulder striking the plastic, the impact driving the air from his lungs.

Dirt rained down on his face. His chest. His legs.

The last thing he saw before the darkness swallowed him was Vincent smiling down like a priest giving absolution.

Then the casket lid was lowered over the grave — not covering the hole, but draped for show — and the weight of the earth pressed down on him like a dying world.
