I Pretended to Be a Prostitute Just to Make My Rich Brother Notice Me—But That Night at the Party, I Discovered the Truth He Had Been Hiding From Our Family…

Chapter 1

My name is Nelly, and I was only 20 years old when I made the biggest decision of my life.

I never imagined I would pretend to be someone I wasn’t.

I never imagined I would walk into a world I had always feared.

But desperation can push people into doing things they never thought they were capable of.

My father passed away more than four years ago.

After his death, our oldest brother, Benjamin, became the person everyone depended on. He worked hard, struggled through difficult times, and eventually built a successful life for himself. He bought his own house, became wealthy, and created the kind of future we all dreamed about.

We were proud of him.

We supported him.

While he was struggling, we called him every day to encourage him. We reminded him that he was not alone. Even though we had little, we gave him everything we could.

But after Benjamin became successful, everything changed.

The brother we knew disappeared.

He stopped answering our calls.

He ignored our messages.

When we finally discovered where he lived, we went there hoping to reconnect with him.

Instead, we received the most painful rejection.

Benjamin instructed his security guards never to allow any of us near his street.

Not his mother.

Not his siblings.

Nobody from our family was allowed to enter his home.

I could not understand it.

What had we done to deserve this?

Why would the person we supported during his hardest years turn his back on us when he finally made it?

My mother had given birth to four children.

Two boys.

Two girls.

And Benjamin was our firstborn.

Yet the moment he reached the top, he acted as if we were strangers.

Life became extremely difficult after that.

We struggled every day.

There were times when my mother cried quietly at night because she had no idea how she would provide for us. Bills kept increasing. Debts continued growing. The people around us started looking at us with pity.

But the hardest part was knowing that our own brother had the ability to help us and simply chose not to.

I kept asking myself the same question:

Why?

What did we ever do wrong?

Then one day, a terrible idea came into my mind.

If Benjamin refused to listen to us as his family…

Maybe he would react if he saw me suffering.

Maybe he would feel ashamed.

Maybe he would finally remember where he came from.

That was when I decided to go to the city and pretend to be a prostitute.

Not because I wanted that life.

Not because I was proud of it.

But because I wanted my brother to see me.

I wanted him to feel something.

I wanted him to remember that his own family was struggling.

When I told my friend about my plan, she looked at me like I had lost my mind.

“Nelly, are you serious?” she asked. “Won’t your brother recognize you? Why would you bring such shame to yourself and your family?”

I looked at her and answered:

“Is my family not already suffering? Look at how we live. Look at how we dress. Look at how many people we owe money to. I have already made my decision.”

I took a deep breath.

“I’m going to the city. I’ll find wealthy men there. And I want to do it near Benjamin’s neighborhood because that’s where rich people are.”

My friend tried to stop me.

But my mind was already made up.

I secretly saved enough money for the trip and traveled to the city.

I rented a small hotel room for two days.

My plan was simple.

Find a wealthy man.

Get noticed.

Create a situation where Benjamin would see me.

Then maybe, just maybe, he would finally take me home and stop pretending we did not exist.

The hotel was completely different from the life I knew.

The lobby smelled of expensive perfume and cigarette smoke. Wealthy people walked around wearing designer clothes, laughing as if they had never experienced hardship.

That Friday night, I heard about a huge party happening nearby.

It was perfect.

The mansion where the party was held was only a few houses away from Benjamin’s property.

I knew wealthy people from the area would be there.

So I prepared myself.

I wore a short, revealing dress.

I put on makeup I was not used to wearing.

I painted my lips red.

I wore the highest heels I could find.

Then I walked into the party pretending to be someone else.

The mansion was filled with luxury cars, loud music, and people holding expensive drinks.

I stood near the bar, acting like I was waiting for someone.

Soon, I heard voices nearby.

“Look at her,” one man said, pointing toward me. “She looks new.”

“She’s shy,” another man laughed. “Let’s see if she’s worth the price.”

I ignored them.

My eyes stayed focused on the entrance.

Everything was going according to my plan.

All I needed was for Benjamin to see me.

All I needed was for him to finally care.

But I had no idea that the person I would meet that night would completely destroy the plan I had created.

Because the worst thing that could happen…

happened.

And it involved my own brother.
