We Cleared the Bushes in Our Compound and Found a Giant Green Snake—When We Tried to Kill It, It Escaped Into Our House… That Night, We Discovered Something Terrifying
It was supposed to be a normal Saturday cleanup.
But after clearing the bushes in our compound, we discovered something none of us could explain.
A huge green snake came out of the overgrown area.
The moment we tried to attack it, the creature escaped into our house and disappeared.
And what happened that night made us question whether we had disturbed something we were never supposed to find.
That Saturday morning, my father decided our weekend would not be spent relaxing.
At exactly 7:00 AM, the weather was cool, and everyone in the house was enjoying the quiet morning. We thought we would finally have time to rest.
Then my father walked into the living room carrying a large broom and a cutlass.
His face immediately told us he was serious.
“Kingsley, you and your two brothers, Kelvin and Krispy, go outside and clear the bushes,” he ordered. “The grass has grown too much, and it’s becoming dangerous.”
My younger brother Krispy rubbed his sleepy eyes and complained.
“Daddy, but today is Saturday. Can’t we do it tomorrow? I wanted to watch the football match.”
My father pointed toward the backyard.
“No match today. Those grasses are almost taller than you. Do you want mosquitoes and scorpions to start living with us? Get moving.”
With no choice, the three of us picked up our tools and went outside.
At first, everything seemed normal.
We cut through the tall grass, removed weeds, and cleared the bushes around the compound. The morning sun was shining, and we thought the work would soon be finished.
Then something strange happened.
The ground seemed to shake slightly.
The leaves in front of us started moving violently.
Kelvin suddenly stopped.
“Kingsley… did you hear that?”
I looked at him.
“Hear what? Stop worrying and keep cutting. Let’s finish this.”
I took another step forward.
But before my cutlass touched the grass again, the bushes suddenly separated.
Something was inside.
Something huge.
A massive green snake burst out from the bushes and moved across the compound at incredible speed.
For a moment, none of us could move.
The creature was enormous.
Its body was bright green, almost glowing under the sunlight. But the most frightening thing was its head.
It did not look like a normal snake.
From where we stood, it looked like two human heads had been strangely joined together. Its dark eyes looked angry and unnatural.
I immediately screamed.
“Look! Look! A snake!”
We all jumped backward in fear.
Kelvin grabbed a large stone and threw it.
“Kill it! Kill it!”
But the stone missed.
The creature moved too quickly.
It released a loud hiss that sounded strangely close to a human laugh, then rushed straight toward the open kitchen door.
Before we could react, it disappeared inside our house.
We followed behind, terrified.
My father heard the noise and rushed downstairs holding a heavy wooden stick.
“What is going on? Why are you boys screaming like this?”
“Daddy, there is a huge snake in the kitchen!” I said, trying to catch my breath. “But its head… it looked like two people joined together!”
My father frowned.
“A snake with a human head? What nonsense are you talking about?”
He pushed past us and started searching.
We looked everywhere.
Under the gas cylinder.
Behind the refrigerator.
Inside cupboards.
Behind curtains.
Under the sofas.
Every corner of the house was checked.
But nothing was there.
The giant green snake had disappeared completely.
It was as if it had entered the house and vanished.
After almost an hour of searching, my father looked exhausted.
“Are you boys sure you didn’t just see a rope and panic?”
“No, Daddy,” Krispy said, his voice shaking. “We all saw it. It was huge and green.”
Since we could not find it, we locked the doors, stayed close together, and hoped morning would come quickly.
But that night, something happened.
Around 2:00 AM, while everyone was sleeping, a strange sound filled the entire house.
A loud, continuous hissing noise.
It did not come from one place.
Sometimes it sounded like it was coming from the ceiling.
Then it moved beneath our beds.
Then it came from the hallway.
It felt close.
But impossible to locate.
Nobody could sleep.
We lay frozen in the darkness, sweating and listening to the terrifying sound moving around us.
That was when the questions started filling our minds.
What exactly did we bring into our house?
Did clearing those bushes awaken something hidden there for years?
Was it really just a snake…
